Regarding "Hikaru" I don't think it can stay around by the end, for the sake of Yoshiki's character arc I think it's necessary for "Hikaru" to leave at some point once Yoshiki has made peace with his grief and is ready to leave the town. I think the story is also moving towards the monster finding its own identity beyond "Hikaru" so I'm excited to see how that develops
Thank you! I think much the same. I'm excited to see more of Yoshiki's other friends develop more, I imagine they'll have a big role to play in getting over the grief tying him to Hikaru. I am very curious what will happen to "Hikaru," if there's a way he can live peacefully in this world or if he'll have to give himself up in some way. Either way, I agree, very excited to see how all of this develops.
